Comic Fiesta 2010

hey people,Comic Fiesta is back :) i remember i had loads of fun last year except for the 'lovely' sprained ankle i got at the end of day 2 [disclaimer,Comic Fiesta had nothing to do with my sprained ankle except i had too much fun] The pictures are just some examples of what you can expect at Comic Fiesta.Anyways,Comic Fiesta is in its' eighth year now.It began so humbly in the Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall back in 2002 and grown so big until it was in the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre for two years in a row in 2008 and last year. With last year's visitor count was up to about 8000 visitors!!! Well,as the saying goes, you can only go up and Comic Fiesta this year is all set to break their records yet again.

This year, bigger venue and slightly classier too if i may say so.its in a freaking hotel ballroom, people! For me,i've only been to hotel ballrooms for like weddings and seminars before so for Comic Fiesta to be held in a hotel ballroom, that's freaking awesome! Correct me if i'm wrong but i think its the first ACG (Anime,Comics & Games) convention ever to be held in a hotel ballroom in Malaysia.

Where and when is the event you might ask? Well, cancel all your Christmas shopping plans or better yet,go to Comic Fiesta then go shopping after because the lovely hotel ballroom i'm mentioning is Berjaya Times Square Hotel Manhattan Ballroom (doesn't it sound cool & classy?) on the 18-19 December 2010.It's the weekend before Christmas after all so you can go to Comic Fiesta & do all your Christmas shopping or you can go to the many malls nearby the hotel after Comic Fiesta to shop till you drop (shh,Uniqlo is not far from there if you're not tired from walking around in the ballroom ;p)

Comic Fiesta 2010 is organized by SAYS (Sequential Youth Arts Society) who aims to bring "more of everything" and also challenge the local perception of what an ACG event can give to not only its' visitors but also the Malaysian ACG community. They are a volunteer-run,non-profit organization which was established in 2009 that aims to educate the public about the ever growing ACG community in Malaysia and their ultimate goal is to create a dynamic avenue where local and international creative talents can come together and push the Malaysian creative industry forward through innovative new ideas.

With such a huge event, there comes a price and for that,we have tickets for the public. For a one day ticket,it would be RM15 which you can purchase at the event itself but you can choose to pre-order two day tickets for the sweet price of RM25 using the order form from the official website. The application forms for the cosplay & karaoke competitions are also available on the website.

Comic Fiesta 2010 will of course have Artist Booths as usual (formerly known as the Doujin Market) awesome cosplayers, awesome cosplay & karaoke competition and i hear there will be new attractions as well.i so can't wait for it!what are you waiting for? go order your tickets now!All contact information is at the bottom & the website will be updated constantly so bookmark it and check it out often!
